About WILD 1

WILD 1 was founded by Jamie Tjupurrula in response to his own personal healing journey that was facilitated by an elder and nangkari from Mt Liebig community, Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri.

WILD 1 develops and facilitates programs that are tailored to individual peoples and their needs with a focus on wellbeing. Facilitation of healing through accessing cultural beliefs and values is a method of healing that is under recognised by the current Australian health system.

With a grounded sense of self and the opportunity to build on strengths, the power can be given back to the people. Indigenous ways of understanding health and wellbeing are equal to current western ways but often misunderstood and under utilised.
